The island is known for its world-class shipwreck diving, island-hopping, pristine beaches, and crystal-clear freshwater lakes. Coron is a large region composed of many islands so travelers or visitors really need to know which area is the best to stay. In this blog, I’ve looked at the best resorts in Coron to help you find the best place to stay whether you are seeking a luxury resort, beachfront resort, or budget-friendly resort.

While many of the resorts are in a central area of Coron there are some more isolated options (usually more expensive) There are cheap resorts to stay if you are on budget and travelers can also enjoy the island nightlife. Some luxury resorts are nestled on private islands. To save you time, I have put together a list and created three categories of luxury resorts, beachfront resorts, and cheap resorts which you might want to stay in when looking for the best resorts in Coron, Palawan.

Two Seasons Coron Island Resort & Spa (Luxury): This 5-star, ec0-friendly resort offers first-rate accommodation which is perfect for families and honeymooners alike. Each room and suite is enormous and fitted with a patio, a flat-screen TV, a sofa, and luxurious bathroom amenities. The resort staff are extremely welcoming and hospitable. Amenities include a private white sand beach, a stunning swimming pool, a pool bar, a restaurant, and some water sports facilities such as windsurfing, scuba diving, and banana boat riding. Guests can also enjoy playing billiards and a good massage from its in-house spa. I highly recommend this luxury resort if you are visiting Coron.

Busuanga Bay Lodge (Luxury): This luxury, boutique resort offers world-class accommodation and service like no other. Boasting an outdoor infinity pool, each guest will definitely enjoy the panoramic view of the mountain and sea of Coron. Some suites are perched on the hill, giving guests the peaceful ambiance and view while others are set above the water. The resort has luxurious and spacious villas with a private balcony and plunge pool—perfect for families. There is also a lavish restaurant beside the pool, a bar, and a gym. The in-house spa has a wide range of treatments on offer. There is no doubt, Busuanga Bay Lodge is easily one of the best luxury resorts in Coron, Palawan.

Club Paradise Resort (Luxury): Boasting 48 modern rooms, Club Paradise Resort is set in an exclusive beach on Dimakya Island in Coron. The resort also offers daily water activities including snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing, diving, and more. They have a swimming pool, spa, fitness center, in-house restaurant, bar, and dive center. There is also a complimentary shuttle service for guests. Whether you want to drink cocktails during sunset, laze by the beach, and do some water adventures, everything is possible at Club Paradise Resort.

Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel (Luxury): Boasting 48 modern, spacious rooms and suites, Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel is by far the best accommodation in Coron. Each room has floor-to-ceiling windows so guests can enjoy the sweeping views of the sea. Room amenities include a flat-screen TV, DVD player, minibar, porch, iPod docking station, and more. They also offer high-end facilities such as Baya Resto Lounge, business center, seaside infinity pool, and so much more. If you don’t mind paying extra, the Skydeck Jacuzzi Lounge is my favorite place to chill–it’s perfect for sunset watching. The location is perfect as well since the property provides easy access to the port.

Bacau Bay Resort (Luxury): Another best luxury resort in Coron is Bacau Resort. The property has floor-to-ceiling windows that lead you to the private balcony. Each room is equipped with everything you need: LED TV, work desk, comfy bed, and bathroom amenities. There is a gym, swimming pool, and a bar on-site. They have a restaurant called “Amihan” which got a lovely ambiance and a professional chef who gives guests the most unforgettable dining experience. There are two bars on-site where you can enjoy your lovely drinks–one is by the pool and the other one is at the resort’s wharf overlooking the sea and the mangroves. The swimming pool features a jacuzzi, sun loungers, and cocoon daybeds which is a popular spot for guests.

Coron Soleil Garden Resort (Luxury): This 4-star resort has well-maintained facilities such as a huge outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant, a spa, and a bar. Each room has a pool view, a minibar, and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms have a small kitchen, microwave, and seating area to relax. If that’s not enough, guests can also take advantage of daily cleaning, free parking, and evening entertainment such as movie nights and awesome live music. Plus guests can also ask the resort for laundry, ironing, and airport shuttle for an additional cost. They also serve excellent and high-quality food so you will definitely get what you paid for.

Sangat Island Dive & Resort (Beachfront): Nestled in a secluded spot and also close to some popular diving spots in Coron, Sangat Island Dive & Resort provides traditional-style and beachfront accommodation. Each bungalow comes with a private balcony, a safe, a fan, and hammocks for guests to use. The bathrooms have free toiletries and a good shower. The property also serves delicious food and drinks in their restaurant and bar. They also offer a boat transfer, massage, and laundry service. If you are up to shipwreck diving and other water sports, I highly recommend this resort!

Sun Eco Tourism Island Resort (Beachfront): Located in one of the private islands in Coron, Sun Eco Tourism Island Resort offers beautiful and modern villas fitted with private balconies. Each villa is perched on the water with everything you need plus a fantastic view of the sea. I personally love the sunrise view and the staff really do a great job in helping their guests. From the room, guests can enjoy watching other guests doing some water activities. The resort has an infinity pool facing the beach, a restaurant, souvenir shop, gym, free Wi-Fi, a bar, and a private beach.

La Estancia Busuanga (Beachfront): This oceanfront property is situated away from the hustle and bustle of Coron proper. It is cozy and private so staying here is definitely worth it. The resort has guestrooms that are designed to provide comfort and convenience. Each room has an air conditioner, balcony, fan, and in-room safe. Guests can enjoy the private beach, outdoor swimming pool, fishing, and even diving. They have barbecue facilities, daily housekeeping, airport transfer, and luggage storage. What I loved about La Estancia was the perfect view from your balcony and the private island feel.

El Rio y Mar Resort (Beachfront): Boasting breathtaking views of the turquoise water and lovely mountains, El Rio y Mar Resort is another private resort on Busuanga Island. The property has a huge outdoor pool, a floating spa, a bar, and souvenir shops on site. There are plenty of activities on offer such as scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, and tours. Rooms are spacious and equipped with air conditioners, ceiling fans, TV, and balcony. Guests will not get bored as they can play billiards, ride a banana boat, and more. Everything is perfect here from the infinity pool to the white sandy beach. You can’t get more private than El Rio y Mar Resort!

La Natura Resort (Cheap): As the name suggests, La Natura Resort provides accommodation surrounded by nature. Set in the lush gardens, the resort offers ten budget-friendly rooms equipped with king-sized beds, patio, huge ceiling fan, flat-screen TV, mosquito nets, and private bathrooms with a hot and cold shower. There is a swimming pool with jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, massage service, and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is also included in the price. There are hammocks and ample sun loungers by the pool making it perfect for relaxation. For safety, there is CCTV in common areas and outside the property so you will feel safe staying here. La Natura Resort is a great place to escape from the bustle of the town.

Fernvale Leisure Club & Resort (Lovely Pool): Fernvale Leisure Club & Resort is another affordable resort nestle a bit off the town of Coron. This 3-star resort boasts modern rooms, a stunning outdoor pool with sun loungers and awesome bar, a restaurant with a view, and a shared lounge. The price comes with a complimentary delicious buffet breakfast. Free transfer to and from the airport is provided as well so it’s hassle-free. It’s only 15 minutes away from the town center. The service was amazing from check-in to check out. Overall, it is a beautiful resort with spacious rooms, comfy beds, hot shower, and a good air conditioner.

Vela Terraces Hotel (Budget/Location): This 3-star resort has well-maintained facilities including its restaurant, swimming pool, and rooms. Each room is clean and has everything you need including tea and coffee maker. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and clean fitted with a bidet and free toiletries. Manggis restaurant serves a luscious buffet breakfast for its guests. The property is only walking distance to the base of Mt. Tapyas and close to Coron proper as well. If you want to explore the area, the property also offers bicycle rental and tours. Other services include laundry and luggage storage is available on-site.
