Bohol what can I say about this amazing little Island? I had no expectations during the ferry journey from Oslob to Bohol mostly because I had never even heard of the island.
After five wondrous days of adventure across Bohol, it quickly became one of my favorite spots in the Philippines. Hopefully, these Bohol photos will give you a serious case of wanderlust. The cure can be found in the caves and waterfalls that are scattered throughout the island.

The best way to see everything on Bohol is to rent a moped for a few dollars a day and explore at your own will.
Chocolate Hills is at the top of the list for most tourists visiting Bohol. However, it was the journey to the brown mounds that captured my imagination.
Head to Chocolate hills for a sunset or sunrise to enjoy the hills in all their glory.
I made a quick stop on the way to Chocolate Hills at Hinagdanan Cave, which turned out to be a remarkable underground swimming hole.
Now it was time to go waterfall hunting on Bohol and with the help of a local friend we spent the day in our own private, natural adventure park.
Twin Falls is a popular waterfall with good reason. Two stunning falls combine to create a magical jungle amphitheater.
A day isn’t complete without a sunset on Bohol and you really cannot go wrong at any beach, but this little wharf was a great scene to take in the soft tones of the sky. Fishermen rested in their boats listening to reggae music to finish off another day in the life of a Bohol islander.

Bohol Beach Club – Luxury: It’s everything you would expect from a luxury resort in a tropical location. It’s beachside with amazing pools, bars, and chill-out areas. Right near the restaurants, bars, and action of Alona Beach but hidden away so that you can relax after a day of island-hopping or adventures.
Venezia Suites – Value: The Venezia Suits present the best value on Bohol. If you are looking for luxury but only want to spend mid-range often you need to get lucky. Venezia will hook you up with a beautiful suite that comes with a pool and living space. It’s a damn good deal and located right near all the action of Panglao so you are in a good spot.
HM & B Backpackers Inn: As a backpacker generally you check the price, location, and cleanliness. HM & B ticks all those boxes as one of the cheapest hostels near Alona Beach but also maintains good reviews, cleanliness and is pretty cheap compared to everything else near Alona Beach.
