Panglao Island is a good choice for beach bums, nightlife, and divers. There are a few other quieter spots you may want to stay and I’ve listed a few hostels in those areas also. In this blog post, I’ve handpicked the ten best hostels in Bohol to help you narrow down your search if you’re planning to visit the island.
GREENSPACE HOSTEL
GREENSPACE Hostel (Clean Rooms): If cleanliness, safety, and great proximity to the beach are your top priorities in choosing a hostel in Bohol, then Greenspace is exactly what you are looking for. It is close to Dumaluan Beach (the most beautiful beach on Panglao Island).
This chic, modern, and brand-new accommodation is rated exceptionally by its guests. It offers tidy rooms with private bathrooms, air-conditioning, a wardrobe, flat-screen TV, and towels. Each room has a small terrace with two chairs and a table.
Although there is no restaurant on-site, you can easily go to the nearest restaurants and shops by moped. Scooter rental and Wi-Fi are available as well.

OASIS BALILI HERITAGE LODGE
Oasis Balili Heritage Lodge (Family Pick): If you are a history buff, you’ll love this Spanish-inspired accommodation situated in Tagbilaran City. It is very close to the port, which is a unique feature. This two-story lodge has a wide selection of rooms from deluxe rooms, large single rooms, to 4-bed mixed dormitory rooms.

B-hols Huts features amenities like a garden to chill, complimentary Wi-Fi, a restaurant that prepares a simple breakfast, and a sun terrace. Guests of all types are very welcome here with good accommodations to choose from.
They have mixed dormitory rooms that can accommodate up to eight guests, deluxe rooms, and budget rooms with en-suite bathrooms and other basic furniture. Although some rooms don’t come with AC, it is still comfortable and mosquitoes will not be a big deal since mosquito nets are installed in every bed adding to the coziness of the room. A rate that starts at $7 for a bunk bed is a good deal considering what it offers to every guest.

ALONA HAMMOCKS

Guests can also play billiards and enjoy drinks at the bar on-site. I’ve stayed here and had a great time, hanging out with the staff and other backpackers. I’d definitely recommend this as one of the most authentic hostels on Bohol Island.

May it be a double and triple room with a shared bathroom, a standard double room with a fan, or, a family room with a private bathroom, all are decently priced, well-maintained, and spacious. You’ll have a garden view from your room so you can enjoy sipping the complimentary tea while relaxing.
Aside from the complimentary drinks (water, tea, and coffee), Wi-fi, and parking are offered free of charge. It has a restaurant, shuttle service, and BBQ facilities. The hostel owners do a great job so this is definitely value for money and a good place to stay on Panglao island.
