Panglao Island is a good choice for beach bums, nightlife, and divers. There are a few other quieter spots you may want to stay and I’ve listed a few hostels in those areas also. In this blog post, I’ve handpicked the ten best hostels in Bohol to help you narrow down your search if you’re planning to visit the island.
GREENSPACE Hostel (Clean Rooms): If cleanliness, safety, and great proximity to the beach are your top priorities in choosing a hostel in Bohol, then Greenspace is exactly what you are looking for. It is close to Dumaluan Beach (the most beautiful beach on Panglao Island).
This chic, modern, and brand-new accommodation is rated exceptionally by its guests. It offers tidy rooms with private bathrooms, air-conditioning, a wardrobe, flat-screen TV, and towels. Each room has a small terrace with two chairs and a table. Although there is no restaurant on-site, you can easily go to the nearest restaurants and shops by moped. They have mixed dormitory rooms that can accommodate up to eight guests, deluxe rooms, and budget rooms with en-suite bathrooms and other basic furniture. Although some rooms don’t come with AC, it is still comfortable and mosquitoes will not be a big deal since mosquito nets are installed in every bed adding to the coziness of the room. A rate that starts at $7 for a bunk bed is a good deal considering what it offers to every guest.
Alona Hammocks (Cool Vibe): If you are looking for a one of a kind experience in Bohol, then Alona Hammocks is ready to provide it. They also offer a plethora of services such as tour arrangements, motorbike rental, shuttle service, and even a convenience store on-site. What’s more? Walkerz Inn (Value for money): This property is nestled just less than a 10-minute walk from the infamous Alona Beach and in a quiet neighborhood. It is only walking distance of the restaurants and shops. While it does not feature bunk beds, it has a wide selection of rooms that will surely suit your needs.
May it be a double and triple room with a shared bathroom, a standard double room with a fan, or, a family room with a private bathroom, all are decently priced, well-maintained, and spacious. You’ll have a garden view from your room so you can enjoy sipping the complimentary tea while relaxing.
