THE WEEKLY #262: K2 BASECAMP TREK WEEK 1

THE WEEKLY #262: K2 BASECAMP TREK WEEK 1

It feels good to be back out in the mountains on a trek. No connection for two weeks just the sounds and smells of the mountains. This will be the longest I’ve been off-grid in a long, long time so I’m enjoying just taking it all in and letting my brain switch off from the outside world. My body is holding together so far with 15-20km of walking on rocky terrain per day. Pakistan has proved to be inhospitable and incredibly hospitable at the same time. The land and logistics are difficult while the people are so welcoming, we feel at home. These are my first impressions of the Karakoram Range and the K2 Basecamp Trek from behind the lens.
