Apart from its gorgeous beach, another highlight is the dry and stable climate so it’s possible to go to the beach throughout the year even during the cold mainland Europe winter. In addition, there are several activities that you can not miss in Porto Santo including hiking, diving, windsurfing, and more.
The island is just 11 kilometers across in length at its longest point and most tourists are staying near the golden sands of the southern coast. Vila Baleira Porto Santo (Luxury & All-inclusive): THIS IS WHERE I STAYED! Vila Baleira is a 4-star resort situated right on the golden sand beach of Porto Santo. The rooms are on one side of the road and the restaurant and pool area are directly next to the beach.
I had the all-inclusive package, which meant we got a wristband when we arrived and then had buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as unlimited coffee and alcohol all day, every day. Normally a buffet can be lower quality than a restaurant but this buffet was really high quality and we never ate the same meal twice. They also have a specialty restaurant/buffet that is a bit fancier, which you can book each night at no extra fee.
There is a pool bar service, a spa, a sauna, and a stunning outdoor swimming pool with lots of sun loungers around.
I spent five nights here and it was a really memorable stay with awesome food and easy access to the beach! For me, this is one of the best places to stay on Porto Santo Island and I would recommend it as one of the best hotels on Porto Santo.

This property takes pride in its well-maintained rooms, stunning grounds, lovely gardens throughout the vicinity as well as superb hospitality. It was very stylish and calm with a luxurious atmosphere very apparent.
Not only this resort offers excellent customer service but also enjoys a prime location. It features an infinity pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The spa has a Turkish bath, a heated pool, massage rooms, relaxation spots, hot sand therapy, and more. Not to mention the restaurant serves fresh local dishes.
