THE WEEKLY #86: NUSA ISLANDS BLOGGER WORKSHOP WEEK 1

THE WEEKLY #86: NUSA ISLANDS BLOGGER WORKSHOP WEEK 1

The Nusa Islands Blogger Workshop has finally arrived.  At the end of 2017, I opened up applications for my first ever workshop. 500 people applied and I chose the seven bloggers and content creators who I thought had an adventurous spirit and were committed to working hard to becoming a digital nomad.

Fast-forward to March 1st and bloggers from all over the world met me, Jorden (my trusty assistant) and Nic Morley (my workshop videographer) at the Udara Bali Resort in Canggu. It’s an epic new resort with incredible decor and retreat style outdoor yoga studios.

The workshops got off to a flying start at the Udara as we began working away. The aim for the workshop and the crew is to have them finish after 10 days ready to take their blogs to the next location. I want them to feel comfortable hitting the next location.

The ultimate goal is that by the end of the year these bloggers will be on working with travel brands, earning an online income and have the ability to become a digital nomad. I’m confident they will all continue to push and make this dream a reality by the end of 2018.

After one night at Udara Bali Resort, we headed to Nusa Lembongan via the ferry organized by the Lembongan Traveller. Our ferry and many of our transfers and activities were organized by the Lembongan Traveller who is the go-to organization for advice, tips bookings on Nusa Lembongan.

We stayed at The Tamarind Resort, one of the most luxurious resorts on Nusa Lembongan. The team was blown away by our accommodation and we enjoyed the infinity pools for sunsets and sunrises. Staying at The Tamarind and creating content for the hotel was a great learning experience for the up and coming bloggers during the workshop. The highlight of the week was swimming alongside Manta rays with Monkey Surf Activities. We swam for what seemed like hours, sharing the water with the majestic Manta’s as they looped around us.

Nic Morley created the following videos, which show the highlights of the first four days of adventures and learning at the Nusa Islands Blogger Workshop.

We are on a roll and kicking on with the hustle on our blogs into week two of the workshop. We have crossed over to one of my favorite islands in the world, Nusa Penida. I’m stoked for the second week of the workshop and to keep the adventures coming! These are some of the vibes from this week!
