Christmas was quickly left behind as my attention shifted from catching up with family and friends to enjoying a few of the beautiful beaches in Adelaide. Despite the incredible heat of 40 degrees on Christmas Day, the weather had been up and down since then. However, Henley beach provided a stunning sunset with a family meal on the grass down at the newly renovated square. I noticed the square is still lacking an outdoor gym like can be seen at Bondi but one can only dream (Not that I am ever in Adelaide anyway).
The average weather continued but I made a trip down the coast to Second Valley and Port Noarlunga. Second Valley is a popular holiday spot and I had been lured by the opportunity of a possible cliff-jump. However, with rough conditions I decided to leave it for a clearer day.
Port Noarlunga delivered a soothing sunset with softer tones than the vibrance of Henley several nights earlier. I used this week to brush the cobwebs off my ND (Neutral Density) filters and pretend I was a landscape photographer. Result: Photos turned out okay but not like the magic I often see on Instagram and so forth. The quest continues.
