You can’t NOT travel to UAE and hope for an extravagant experience in one of the country’s gorgeous hotels. If the extravagance of your choice is private pools inside classy villas, then you’re in luck. Thankfully, there’s no shortage of splendid hotels with private pools in Abu Dhabi, and here’s my list of the best 15 hotels with private pools in Abu Dhabi.

With one hotel more luxurious than the next, it can become confusing to find the best match among the 15 best hotels with private pools in Abu Dhabi. Well, I’ve already done the research for you, and here’s a short outline of my two favorite hotels.
First, there’s Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf for its absolutely gorgeous aesthetics and amazing amenities. And second, Al Wathba Desert Resort for its kind staff and great amenities.

Are you too lazy to read the full text? Well, you don’t need to, because here are my top three picks in terms of the best amenities and value for your money when it comes to hotels with private pools in Abu Dhabi.
ACCOMMODATION COMPARISON TABLE
Let’s check out the starting prices for these hotels. But just a heads up, they can change depending on stuff like how many people are staying and what time of year it is. So if you want to snag the best deals, make sure to plan ahead and book early!
Nurai Island, Saadiyat
Take a short 12-minute boat ride from Saadiyat Island to a world of unparalleled luxury at Nurai Island, Saadiyat. Each of this place’s villas is a private sanctuary designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, private temperature-controlled pools, and soothing soaking tubs or rain showers. Guests can arrange personal training and yoga sessions during the sunset or sunrise and visit the Nurai Spa for special island treatments while the Petit Z kids club keeps their young ones entertained. Enjoy organic seasonal dishes at Frangipani and visit Ginger Mermaid for delectable sushi and sashimi.
Nurai’s private pool options match their villas’ exclusivity, each offering a different experience. If, like myself, infinity pools are your favorite, then you might want to consider the Beach House or Water Villa for your stay. The former has two private infinity pools, each 9 square meters, and the latter has a great 120-square-meter infinity pool with ocean views.
Please note: As of May 6, 2024, the Nurai Island Hotel is undergoing renovations to offer an even more luxurious welcome.

Club Privé By Rixos, Saadiyat
Club Privé By Rixos is an Arabian paradise located on the golden shores of Saadiyat Island and beautified with Ottoman-inspired architecture. This place has two unique villa experiences: Club Villas and Villa Privée. The former is a luxurious poolside retreat with a desk area, perfect for families or groups. The latter is a four-bedroom sanctuary with a private pool and lavish amenities. The great thing about these accommodations is that, while private, guests still have access to the hotel’s all-inclusive amenities including its 6 restaurants, 5 bars, and the clubhouse.
As I said, Club Villas come equipped with comfortable sun loungers, a shared pool, and 24-hour butler service. Villa Privée, on the other hand, gives you a private Arabic-style backyard with palm trees, sun beds, sun umbrellas, and a gorgeous private pool secluded from the rest of the hotel. These pools have beautiful azure tilings on the inside and white stones framing the outsides with palm trees beautifying their surroundings. I especially like how the hotel’s private pools are big enough to fit the whole family comfortably. Although, they look to be rather shallow.

Al Maya Island & Resort
Al Maya is an opulent island sanctuary just off the coast of Abu Dhabi, accessible via a short 10-minute boat ride southwest of Abu Dhabi. The resort’s horizon swimming pool stretches out towards the endless ocean, creating THE picture-perfect scenery for IG. Enjoy the sun on a shaded lounger or get one of the cabanas, all the while savoring cocktails and delectable cuisine from the Al Maya restaurant. Thanks to this resort’s Gala Dinners and Product Launches, it’s a good destination for corporate events as well.
Looking for the star of the show? For a private pool experience, book one of the resort’s magnificent Beach Pool Villas. These pool villas are all decorated in charming traditional Bedouin interiors, complete with a private Majlis (seating area) and a courtyard. The pool itself has azure tiles and sits on the terrace, next to comfortable lounging chairs and tables, and big (and deep) enough for adults to unwind. If there’s one hotel with private pools in Abu Dhabi that makes you feel right at an Arabian home, it’s Al Maya.

Bab Al Nojoum Hudayriyat Villas
If you’re looking for a comfortable stay in one of the best hotels with private pools in Abu Dhabi, Bab Al Nojoum might just be it. Nestled on Hudayriyat Island, this resort has everything from overwater villas to luxurious tents and camping options for you to live out your bohemian fantasies. Here, you can explore the crystal-clear waters of the Persian Gulf with kayaking, canoeing, sailing, or paddle boarding. There’s also a variety of lawn games like table tennis, hula hooping, and Jenga for children.
If you book one of their luxury villas (for 2 to 5 people), you’ll get stunning ocean and sunset views PLUS a private pool. And what better way to enjoy the ocean scenery laid before you than doing it in your very own temperature-controlled infinity plunge pool? Surrounded by wooden panels, the pools are big enough for the whole family to enjoy splashing around or chilling on the sun loungers. In fact, Bab Al Nojoum has the biggest private pools on the list of top hotels with private pools in Abu Dhabi.

Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Yamm Villa Resort
This is Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Yamm Villa Resort, a place where you can watch the majestic Arabian Oryx roam free on Sir Bani Yas Island. Relax by the glittering Persian Gulf and mangrove views inside an island known for its exotic wildlife. Here, luxury takes the form of beachside barasti-style villas, each reminiscent of charming traditional Emirati fishing villages of the past. Kayak through crystal-clear waters, embark on a horseback riding adventure, or snorkel vibrant coral reefs – the choice is yours.
The true star of the show is, of course, this Abu Dhabi hotel’s private pool. Your peaceful villa will most likely come with a private pool, each in different shapes and forms; from personal infinity pools to plunge pools, and larger pools. Some of the hotel’s private pools are directly connected to the beach and some are nestled in more privacy. The pools are not that big, but are beautiful and scenic enough to make up for the size!

Qasr Al Sarab by Anantara
Anantara Qasr al Sarab Desert Resort can be a hotel but can also be way more than that. Imagine spending your days and nights inside what looks to be an Arabian prince’s villa in the Liwa Desert adorned with rich fabrics and earthy hues. Their “Pillow Menu” definitely helps you feel the part. The resort’s Desert Excursion Centre lets you go on camel treks, dune bashings, horseback riding, archery, mountain biking, or guided desert walks. There’s also a tennis court, a dedicated Kids’ club, an outdoor pool, and 6 restaurants and bars.
Following up on that “prince’s villa” part, I recommend booking one of their 53 Pool Villas for those desert royalty vibes. Each Pool Villa comes with a sundeck to soak up the sunshine, and some even offer butler service for an unforgettable experience. The pools are sizey and have several steps leading into the deeper parts. The creamy stoned porch makes the vivid blue of the pool’s tiling stand out even more.

Rotana Resort and Villas, Saadiyat
Be ready to be left in awe of the grandeur of Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas located on Abu Dhabi’s spectacular Saadiyat Island. The first thing you’ll notice is the striking modern Arabic architecture and uninterrupted Persian Gulf views. Choose your favorite from among 327 uniquely designed rooms and suites, or consider a Club Rotana executive room for exclusive perks. There are 7 bars and restaurants (plus in-room dining) to cater to all of your whims, a fitness club (Bodylines Fitness), a tennis court, mini golf, and a Spa.
For the ultimate in luxury book a Beach Villa. These are 77-square-meter harbors of understated elegance with large private plunge pools and a fully furnished terrace facing the sea. Sun lounges and beautiful potted plants sit next to shaded and curtained seating areas; just in between the pool and a path leading directly to the beach. The pools are deep enough for adults to comfortably stand on their toes and cute enough for them to not want to get out!

Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villas
Escape to Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villas if you’re an animal lover (guests can also use the facilities of their sister properties, namely Anantara Eastern Mangroves and Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Yamm). This place only has 30 luxurious villas spread throughout the savannah, each beautified with African décor, a minibar for refreshing drinks, and a spacious terrace to give you all the peace and privacy in the world. Make sure to taste the African cuisine and explore the island’s natural beauty on a horseback riding expedition or a kayaking adventure while you’re there. Think of this amazing hotel with private pools in Abu Dhabi as a more personal, undisturbed version of its sister properties.
Many of Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel’s luxurious villas also have a private plunge pool in the middle of a tranquil backyard. The pool is rectangular-shaped and just big enough to fit a small group of people comfortably. With its bright blue tiles and shimmering water, the private pool looks just like a small piece of jewelry amid all that sand.

Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas
Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas is not very different from a beautiful mirage on Saadiyat Island. Here, you’ll be waking up to breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea or landscaped gardens. 5 in-house restaurants mean you can enjoy whatever type of international cuisine your heart desires. If you’re feeling energetic, take your pick from the health club, padel courts, or a classic game of tennis. And when it’s time to relax, your gorgeous private pool calls.
There are beautiful private pools inside this hotel’s suites and villas with that famous “Zima Blue” tiling at the bottom and gorgeous sand-colored warm surroundings. Whether you choose a Garden View Villa with its rain shower, a Beach View Villa with sun loungers, or the palatial Presidential Suite with its dedicated plunge pool area, each offers unparalleled privacy and luxurious comfort.

Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf
Imagine gliding along tranquil waterways aboard a traditional abra boat until you arrive at the royal beauty that is Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf. This exclusive enclave offers a collection of rooms, suites, and private summerhouses right in the middle of peaceful waterways (some even overlooking the said waterways). You won’t feel bored with the Wild Wadi Waterpark, The Palace Lounge, and the Kids’ Club at your doorstep. If hungry, visit La Dolce Vita Italian restaurant at Pierchic or taste-test some Lebanese cuisine at Al Nafoorah.
Because this is Abu Dhabi and because it’s Jumeirah I’m talking about, expect the utmost standards of luxury in your villas. I mean, the en-suite spa bathroom, dining area, or bar are nothing compared to private plunge pools and lagoon pools. The Malakiya Villa’s mesmerizing cream-and-sand colored terrace and plunge pool, for example, are a feast to the eyes when paired with the shaded navy blue seating area. The pools are square-shaped and rather small, and their insides are tiled with a shade of blue rarely seen in this list: light sky blue. Beit Al Bahar Villa (a bohemian-chic paradise) also has a small but picturesque private pool bathed in the warm glow of the sun and its surroundings.

Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa, Abu Dhabi
Located approximately 31 miles from the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital, Al Wathba paints a dreamy picture in the middle of golden dunes and swaying palm trees. With 99 guest rooms all adorned with traditional artwork and Arabesque details, this hotel with a private pool in Abu Dhabi is the perfect place to enjoy the desert’s peace. Cycle in the surrounding desert, relax by the pool, or dip into the sauna or hot tub. If you’re hungry, one of the resort’s six restaurants and lounges with Levantine, Pan-Asian, or Italian specialties will satisfy your taste.
Booking a Pool Villa or The Royal Villa gives you access to your very own temperature-controlled plunge pool on your private patio. Step out into an expansive terrace where a separate sunbathing gazebo also awaits. While Al Wathba’s private pools are not as big as some other hotels on my list, they’re big enough to fit the whole family. They’re tastefully designed with two shades of blue tiles and camel-colored surroundings, reminding one of a mirage in the middle of a desert. That’s what I like about this hotel with private pools in Abu Dhabi, it takes the desert charm and makes it part of the package.

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal
Located beside the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and just a 20-minute drive from the airport, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi is the ultimate luxurious escape. Wake up to direct views of the sparkling pool complex, manicured gardens, or the awe-inspiring Grand Canal. Adult guests can enjoy world-class padel courts, a FIFA-standard football pitch, and a well-equipped sports complex while the Ritz Kids program keeps little ones entertained. Enjoy the butler service and evening turndown service
This hotel has both private and outdoor pools. The Rabdon Villa has a private plunge pool that literally stands out from its surroundings. The pool is neither big nor small, but just the right size you would expect from a private pool. I appreciate the minimalist design of the pool; it never gets boring. For a poolside escape without the commitment of a villa, consider the hotel’s Pool and Beach Day Pass to unwind by the pool and enjoy light bites from the Al Fresco restaurant.

Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi
Located on Sheikh Zayed Street, Anantara Eastern Mangroves is only minutes away from top Abu Dhabi attractions, and yet, it immerses you in lush mangroves all the same. This hotel is the perfect spot for business and leisure travelers. Enjoy a relaxing stroll along the promenade, take a refreshing dip in the waterfront pool, or take a kayak adventure through the mangroves. In the evenings, enjoy delicious international cuisine at the Ingredients restaurant, sip cocktails from the rooftop lounge, or visit the hotel’s award-winning Anantara Spa and get a Turkish hammam ritual.
While the hotel’s outdoor pool is stunning, no one can deny the luxurious comfort of hotels with private pools in Abu Dhabi. The Plunge Pool Suite has a private mini plunge pool on your terrace, perfect for a quick cool-down, and the Royal Pool Suite has a sprawling 50-square-meter infinity pool with amazing views. The pool area has a minimal brick-like exterior design and interior lighting (and pool-side candles) designed for the comfort of the night.

ERTH Abu Dhabi Hotel
Only a short walk from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the ERTH Abu Dhabi Hotel, a place where the cultural heritage of UAE shines the brightest. And yes, I mean the food too, if the hotel’s 17 venues serving everything from traditional coffee and pool-side cocktails to Italian cuisine and Persian Gulf-inspired pastry are anything to go by. Walk along the pristine 350-meter private Blue Flag-certified beach or relax in one of their 2 oasis-shaped public swimming pools. Guests can also enjoy exclusive access to the Al Rayeh Club Lounge and the services of your dedicated Mudeef (Arabic for “helper”).
Since it’s privacy I’m looking for in the shape of private pools, I recommend staying in one of their villas. Each of ERTH’s exquisite villas has a unique local aesthetic with warm desert and sea-inspired tones throughout. A private terrace with a private pool is naturally the best part, a white oasis with wooden fences that separate you from the beach. Alabaster stones frame the pool and white sun umbrellas and lounge chairs on the side create a comfortable lazing space.

Then I introduce to you the Arabian paradise, Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, between a pristine private beach and beautiful gardens. All that said, the private pools inside this hotel’s villas are among the absolute best amenities. Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri villas’ private infinity pools are the epitome of luxurious relaxation.
