Caramoan is only an hour flight away from Manila, yet despite its close proximity, it is a bit of an unknown destination. I recently spent several days in Caramoan at Tugawe Cove Resort. The island hopping in Caramoan was comparable to that of El Nido.
The best part about Caramoan is you get all the natural beauty without the crowds of El Nido or Coron. Dramatic jagged cliffs and epic lagoons made this an incredible day of island hopping. The highlight was definitely the hidden freshwater Tayak Lake. These are my favorite Caramoan Island photos from my adventures.

Wow, you inspire us to visit more islands. So much to see yet so little time. Planning to visit back in December. Would like to hear recommendations for place to stay and any tour contact. We’re at a toss between Coron/El Nido and Camaroan.
