CERRO ANCON HIKE & CLEAN UP IN PANAMA CITY

CERRO ANCON HIKE & CLEAN UP IN PANAMA CITY

For the last three months, I’ve had an amazing time exploring the mountains, waterfalls, and beaches of Panama. I’ve been incredibly lucky to meet so many awesome locals along the way who have shown me how they adventure in Panama. The people of Panama have made my trip amazing.

Two months ago in Santa Fe, I started the Adventure Bag Movement and with your help, it has gone global. I organized the first Adventure Bag Adventure Day in El Valle de Anton two weeks ago with over 100 people coming from all over Panama. We hiked two mountains and collected lots of Adventure Bags of trash!

PANAMA CITY it’s your turn! You are invited and everybody is welcome!

On Saturday, the 6th of October (this weekend) we are going to walking up to the top of Cerro Ancon for Sunrise. The view of Panama city will be an awesome start to your day! It only takes 30-40 minutes to walk up on a paved road! We will then walk back down to the clean-up site, which is at the base of Cerro Ancon.

I stumbled across this beautiful forest area a few days ago and it was so sad. The amount of trash is unbelievable and you will see for yourself on Saturday. It will take more than 100 of us to bring this place back to its natural beauty!

We will meet for the Cerro Ancon walk at the steps of the ADMINISTRATION BUILDING at 5:20 am.

The CLEAN-UP SITE is (Herrick Rd before Bodhi Hostel)

Thank you so much for starting this movement in my beautiful country of birth. I'm very familiar with the Ancon Hill area. I used to walk in that area a lot during my working years in the Canal Zone. Awareness and mass education is desperately needed. So happy you are getting to know the real Panamanians out in the mountains.
