I went on an epic one-week journey throughout Cairns with the Tourism Board of Queensland to promote some of the best spots in the region. The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest blew me away. These are my favorite Cairns photos from my adventures:

Let’s start with these awesome turtles I hung out with on the Great Barrier Reef near Cape Tribulation. Crystal clear waters and beautiful sun rays shining through the surface made for some perfect shooting conditions. These images were taken on a GoPro 6 with a PolarPro dome port.
Babinda Boulders and Devil’s Pool were some of the clearest waters of the trip but also the strongest currents. Some seriously powerful water and beautiful watering holes.

Sunrise at Misson Beach. Not a bad way to start the morning.

Some of my favorite Cairns photos came from our overnight stay on the Sunlover Pontoon out on Moore Reef, a part of the Great Barrier Reef. Waking up 40kms from the shore was a surreal feeling! The helicopter flight over the reef was next level.

Bungee jumping on a Bmx bike… only in Cairns.

Daintree Rainforest river cruise

Thala Lodge is the best spot for droning. Symmetrical palm fields. Drone heaven!

And one final Cairns GoPro photo cause my expression here encapsulates how awesome this trip was!
