It’s time to set the record straight.

After living on Oahu for almost two years, there is one question I still get every single week.
Here is the conversation I have to deal with from strangers, teachers, friends and almost anyone who I meet.
“Where you from?”
“So you can surf right?”
It doesn’t help that I have taken thousands of photos of surfers and posted them online and on social media, causing people to think that I am the one surfing in all of the images. Not one to take credit for the skill of other athletes or artists, I decided to put a stop to all the questions and clear the air.
I am currently interning at Blue Planet Foundation, a non-profit clean energy company, working with their social media manager. My boss, David, invited me out to surf and filmed all of my skills and the footage turned out amazing. (Yes the intern life is tough, but I am battling through)
Surfing out in the Pacific Ocean looking back at Waikiki is a pretty cool feeling. Riding a wave in Hawaii is something I never thought I would be doing but this is the crazy life I am living right now.
Hopefully this video puts an end to all the questions and controversy. Now my surfing ability is available in 1080 HD for the whole world to marvel at over and over again.
